Step by step
Add CalcForms to ChatGPT
One click on the CalcForms app page, then sign in with your email. Once.
Say what you sell and how you price it
Talk like you would to a new employee: "I clean windows. $8 per standard window, $14 per large, plus $40 call-out. 10% off over 30 windows."
Say what to ask the customer
"Ask for number of standard windows, number of large windows, and their postcode. Show them the total."
Try it
ChatGPT shows the form. Put in a job you quoted last week and check the total matches. Adjust in plain words if not.
Publish
Say "publish it" and share the link.
The words to say
Copy this into ChatGPT (with CalcForms added) and fill in the brackets.
"Build me a quote calculator. I [what you do]. Pricing: [your rates and rules]. Ask the customer for [the questions]. Show them the total and nothing else. Publish it when done."
What you will see
A short form, a live total that updates as the customer types, and a dashboard entry for every reply with the breakdown you did not show them.
Common mistakes
- Leaving out the rules. "It depends" is fine, but say what it depends on: distance, size, rush, weekend.
- Asking the customer for things the form can work out. Ask for what only they know.
- Making the form long. Five to eight questions is the sweet spot for a quote.
